Women's Ministry "Women in a Culture of Discipleship": Through Bible studies, healthy small groups, authentic mentorship, and fellowship opportunities, our Women's Ministry seeks to ignite a passion for Christ in the heart of every woman. Now that we are meeting every week at Hunter College, our women’s ministry activities will again meet in-person or through a combination of in-person and on-line

Calvary's Women's Ministry welcomes all women with open arms aiming to connect them to God and others and equipping them to live out God’s purpose for their lives. We focus on making disciples who are relational, intentional, and equipped.

This season we are learning what it means to grow our women’s ministry in a culture of discipleship. As we embrace the Great Commandment (love God and love others) and fully engage in the Great Commission (“go and make disciples who make disciples). This God-sized vision will take our entire community.

Women of Influence: Jesus’ method of making disciples is the perfect way. He combined intense relationship with intentional training. His aim was transformation.  As His disciples made other disciples, that DNA was passed on. They taught like Jesus taught, loved like Jesus loved, and made disciples like Jesus did. This season we are learning what it means to grow our women’s ministry in a culture of discipleship.

So, we all share the call to make disciples, women mentoring women the Titus 2 way--woman to woman, older to younger, day to day, life to life. This is God's beautiful plan. The Titus 2 model of women living out the Gospel and teaching younger women to do the same is vital. It's how we all thrive. It's how we're <">adorned-and it's how we adorn the Gospel of Christ together. Under the leadership of Beverly Quinlan, email questions to BeverlyQQ@aol.com.

MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers MOMSnext): We are…

  1. Jesus Followers: We are compelled by the movement of Jesus Christ and invite others to explore their own faith journey toward him. John 14:6
  2. Kingdom Enthusiasts: We believe in God’s redemptive work in the world which encourages us to be playful in spirit, generous at heart and faith-filled in confession. Matthew 6:3
  3. Advocates: We are passionate proponents for the value of motherhood and the influence of women. Proverbs 31:8-9
  4. Expansive: Every mom has a place with us. We uphold a boldness of inclusion because we know there is room for a vast collage of women who thirst for Jesus. Revelation 22:17
  5. Known by What We Are For: We look to Jesus’ footsteps for how to walk through the world, which allows us to be radically gracious in expression and association. Matthew 22:36-40
  6. Multilingual: We lead communication of a timeless message to a culture of many diverse voices, dialects and backgrounds. 1 Corinthians 9:22
  7. Sisterhood Cultivators: We build circles of women who love each other like family, because we believe in the transformative potential of relationships and mentoring. Hebrews 10:25

If you are expecting or have an infant, toddler, preschooler, or school age children, come and join our gathering to support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. That’s why we rally women to come together and help each other through this time called motherhood, one gathering at a time. We uphold a boldness of inclusion because we know there is room for a vast collage of women who thirst for Jesus. Want to join us, email inquiries to manhattanmops@gmail.com. Under the leadership of Rachel Archer, Esther Shin and Beverly Quinlan.
