482 The Role of the Church in Government

Historically the Church has found herself under every type of government.  Some governments have been friendly to the Church while others have been hostile.  In the book of Acts, Luke depicts the Roman government as ambivalent and sometimes the rescuer of Christians.  By the second and third centuries, the Roman government intermittently persecuted Christians.  This course will examine what the New Testament says the role of the Church and Christians is in government.
