Calvary Cares is a new one-on-one ministry intended to serve those who are grieving, terminally ill, homebound, hospitalized, disaster survivors, unemployed, lonely, divorced, or facing a personal crisis.
Would you be willing to be an instrument of God’s love through Calvary Cares?
Calvary Cares participants will undergo Stephen Ministry training, which equips and enables them to come alongside a hurting person and meet with that person on a weekly basis to listen, care, encourage, pray with, and provide emotional and spiritual support. Men are paired with men; women with women.
Stephen Ministries is a Christian education organization founded in 1975 that produces training and resources known for their excellence, practicality, psychological integrity, and theological depth. These resources cover topics such as caring ministry, assertive relating, spiritual gifts discovery, grief support, spiritual growth, and more.
Calvary Cares participants will undergo Stephen Ministry training, starting this Thursday, June 7 at 6 p.m., and continues June 14 and 21, also at 6 p.m. Watch the above video, a personal testimony of a woman who benefitted from a program similar to Calvary Cares.
