Marilyn Lebowitz serves as Calvary’s Director of Women’s Ministry. A native New Yorker, Marilyn has a faithful history with our fellowship; she first came to Calvary in 1978, became a member in 1982, and joined the staff in 1990.
Marilyn's call to ministry started as a young girl, when she recognized her heart’s desire to know God. She went down many paths in search of Him and finally, many years later, God revealed Himself to her as the Messiah of Israel.
Marilyn's greatest ministry passion is helping hurting women within both our fellowship and community. Her position allows her to assist those living with emotional and physical realities like domestic violence, sexual abuse, addictions, and grief. She is able to offer these women access to the hope and healing found only in Jesus.
Marilyn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College. Prior to her serving in full-time ministry, she worked for many years in the entertainment industry as an assistant to talent, literary agents, and producers. In her free time, Marilyn enjoys writing and reading biographies of the Christian heroes who have gone before us.
