Dr. A.R. Javed

Pastor of Outreach and Missions

Dr. A.R. Javed, Calvary’s Pastor of Outreach and Missions, was born into a Christian home in Lahore, Pakistan. The son of a pastor, Dr. Javed began serving the church at a young age. He has served as a missionary in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan, and has planted a church in Greece. In the U.S., Dr. Javed had served in youth and college ministries as well as an adjunct professor for Davis College. Presently he is a faculty member of New York School of the Bible. 

The Lord joined Dr. Javed and Calvary Baptist in the 1990s, when the church began to support his ministry efforts. In 2006, Calvary invited Dr. Javed to the annual Missions Conference to share about his ministry among Muslims. In 2009, he moved to NYC to start a new missionary journey to mobilize churches to reach out to the Muslim community in the metro area.

Dr. Javed earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Sciences, and the Master of Business Administration from Pakistan’s Mishigan College. His advanced theological training is from the Greek Bible College, Davis College, and Liberty University.

Dr. Javed and his wife, Sarah, were married in 2013, and two sons. In their free time, the couple enjoys exercising together and watching movies.
