RAPP is Calvary Baptist Church's ministry of urban outreach to children, young people, and adults with reading difficulties.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, RAPP is an evangelistic ministry for children in the elementary school age years who need help with their phonics, reading skills, and math. This popular, extremely successful program fills up early in the fall, and no new students are allowed into the program until the following year.
A major outgrowth of RAPP has been a Saturday morning English Grammar/Bible Study led by a team of teachers for the parents of the RAPP children. Many of the parents are Hispanic and speak no English.
