The NJHSA Genesis Chorale is a choir of home-schooled high school students that have auditioned from the metropolitan area. Membership is based on musical ability, character, and leadership. The group's repertoire encompasses classical standards as well as folk, jazz, Broadway, and gospel. Collaborative performances include, "Mozart's Requiem," "Bach's B Minor Mass," “The Singing Revolution; Music of Estonia,” and "The Lion King." The Chorale has twice been featured at the Carnegie Hall National High School Honors Festival and was a silver medalist at the World Choir Games.
Although they participate in various musical events, their primary focus is ministry. Annual ministry tours include destinations within the U.S. and abroad to Canada, France, and Hungary. This March they will be traveling to Costa Rica to partner with missionaries in San Jose and other needy areas. The Genesis Chorale prays that their ministry will encourage others to seek the one true God who brings hope, peace, and eternal life.
Concert is free and open to all.
