Easter Sunday In-Person Worship

We are eager to gather with the CBC Fellowship and our NYC family for In-Person Worship on Easter Sunday, April 4, at 10 a.m. at Hunter College. Dr. Ed Stetzer will be live, preaching 'The Rescue'. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, April 1, at 8 p.m. Hunter College is located at Lexington Avenue and E. 68th Street.

For those unable to join us in-person, we will live streaming Easter morning worship at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live and our new YouTube Channel. Note that a Facebook account is not required to watch the service, simply click at 10 a.m. to watch live.


Before you arrive: 

1. If you developed symptoms of Covid -19 have visited somewhere or have been in contact with someone who has had symptoms of covid-19 in the last 2 weeks please, do not fill out this form or call 212-975-0170 to cancel your reservation.

2. Read all details provided in the confirmation email.

3. Download the Everbridge app from your phone's AppStore (do not open until you receive an email from Hunter. Each ADULT member of your family will need this) 

* If you attended the Nov. 1st, 2020 Worship service and still have the app simply open the app and click "Symptom Checker" and follow the prompts. Show the approval screen to security. This must be done on the day you are attending only.

4. Look for an email from Hunter and follow directions to fill out the symptom checker provided by the Hunter College "Everbridge "App. Upon completion of the Hunter symptom checker, you will receive a confirmation with a green checkmark. Please, show this to Hunter security. This must be done on the day you are attending only.  

5.Guests will enter the North Building through the East 68th St./Kaye Playhouse entrance. Everyone will enter through the turnstiles and will be directed to the Assembly Hall lobby. Guests exit the building through the North Building/East 69th St. doors.

6. Arrive early/on time. Doors will open at 9:15 am for our 10 am service. 


What to do when you arrive:

1. Please, show your confirmation from the Hunter App at the North Building through the East 68th St./Kaye Playhouse entrance that you are cleared of any known symptoms of Covid-19.

2. After you are cleared by Hunter security you will proceed to a check-in table where your CBC (Touchpoint) reservation and your temperature will be checked.

3. Everyone in your reservation must sit at one time.

4. After your check-in is complete please, pick up your communion and see an Usher to be seated.

5. Please follow the directions from an Usher and wait to be dismissed.

6. Offering boxes will be located at the Worship entrance please place your offering in the provided baskets either at your entrance or exit only.


Please Note:

  • A mask is required at all times. Double mask is encouraged.
  • A social distance of 6 ft must be maintained between families as much as possible.
  • All parties must be seated with 3 seats in between. (Every other row will be blocked off)
  • Do not sit in taped off areas
  • Hand sanitizer and extra PPE will be on hand as needed.
  • Hard surfaces will be wiped and all soft surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant.
  • The worship team and the Pastor will be 12 ft back from the congregation.
  • The worship and check-in areas, as well as restrooms, will be cleaned and sanitized before and after service.
  • No food or drink
  • No shaking hands or hugging
  • No hymnals will be handed out. dispose of your communion cup in the trash receptacles when you exit. )
  • The CDC recommends those who are (or are living with someone) under quarantine, not feeling well, over 65 years old, or have underlying health conditions do not attend service. If you have any additional questions please contact 212-975-0170.

Calvary Baptist Church Family Ministry Protocols

  • Pre-registration is required through the Calvary website for attendance at Family Ministry programming (Nursery, Preschool, Elementary, and Student Ministries).
  • Each classroom on the commons level will be limited to a maximum occupancy of 10 except C002, C114 which will have a maximum capacity of 15.
  • We will ensure that all staff and guests adhere to the social distancing protocols of at least 6 feet at all times and that seats are adequately spaced.
  • All children, parents, and staff must check-in at the North Building through the East 68th St./Kaye Playhouse entry point of the facility to have their temperature taken and answer COVID screening questions before proceeding. Parents are encouraged to take your children’s temperature before leaving home to avoid being turned away.
  • Upon entry, only 1 parent may follow signage to the appropriate classroom for a child where our staff will receive them to minimize hallway congestion.
  • The same parent that drops off the child must also pick up the child. Parents may not enter Family Ministry classrooms. Children will be dropped off and picked up at their classroom door.
  • Children who are sick may not enter Family Ministry rooms. This includes fevers, runny noses, and coughs. We will ask parents to retrieve their children if they show signs of being sick.
  • Our Staff will wipe down all flat surfaces with a CDC-approved solution or wipes and leave them to dry for disinfection before and after each session of ministry.
  • Class sizes will be limited to allow for social distancing in the classroom. Using our online registration numbers as our guide, once a class size reaches its socially distant class size limit, that class will be closed. Note that children are welcome to sit with parents in the Worship Center.
  • Social distancing will be practiced.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided in every classroom.
  • Masks and vinyl gloves will be worn by our staff at all times.
  • Facial coverings will be worn by everyone over the age of 2 years, unless they are medically unable to tolerate one.

Nursery Ministry

  • No personal items such as toys from home are allowed.
  • Diaper bags are allowed.
  • All pacifiers brought in with a baby must be on a clip.
  • If possible, please feed babies before coming. Bottles must be brought inside of a Ziploc bag. Staff will wash hands before and after feeding. Bottle will be returned to Ziploc bag after feeding.
  • We will have toys for this age group on hand that will be cleaned and sanitized before and after we meet with a baby-safe disinfectant.
  • Our staff will remove toys that have gone in a child’s mouth so they may be disinfected.
  • Our staff will minimize physical contact with children as much as possible. Parents will receive a text or call if a child becomes inconsolable.
  • Our staff will wear masks but the babies do not need to wear one. As a reminder, the CDC recommends that face coverings should NOT be placed on children under 2 years of age due to the danger of suffocation.

Preschool Ministry

  • All Preschoolers are required to wear a mask while with us. Our staff is required to wear masks as well.
  • Children will be seated at least 6 feet apart. We have a “spot marker” to place on the floor or on chairs to help the children find a safe spot and stay in it.
  • We will have toys for this age group on hand that will be cleaned and sanitized before and after we meet with a baby safe disinfectant.
  • Our staff will minimize the number of toys and seek to avoid sharing of toys between children.
  • Our staff will remove toys that have gone in a child’s mouth so they may be disinfected with a baby safe disinfectant.
  • Our staff will minimize physical contact with children as much as possible. Parents will receive a text or call if a child becomes inconsolable.
  • We will not sing together in Preschool Ministry.
  • No snacks or drinks are allowed.
  • No outside items can be brought in for children (toys, stuffed animals, etc.).
  • We will ask by email/text that parents bring crayons from home for their child in a small Ziploc bag. If a child comes and doesn’t have crayons, we’ll provide some along with a Ziploc bag. Each child will have a Ziploc bag labeled with their name for their exclusive usage. After the program is over, our staff will wipe down the crayons and place them back in the same Ziploc bag for the next time we meet in-person.

Elementary Ministry

  • All children are required to wear a mask while with our Elementary Ministry. Our staff is required to wear masks as well.
  • Children will be seated at least 6 feet apart. We have a “spot marker” to place on the floor or on chairs to help the children find a safe spot and stay in it.
  • We will not sing together in Elementary Ministry.
  • No snacks or drinks are allowed.
  • There will be a limited number of one-time masks available if something happens to a child’s mask during the program.
  • We will ask by email/text that parents bring crayons from home for their child in a small Ziploc bag. If a child comes and doesn’t have crayons, we’ll provide some along with a Ziploc bag. Each child will have a Ziploc bag labeled with their name for their exclusive usage. After the program is over, our staff will wipe down the crayons and place them back in the same Ziploc bag for the next time we meet in-person.

Student Ministry

  • All students are required to wear a mask while with our Student Ministry. Our staff is required to wear masks as well.
  • Students will be seated at least 6 feet apart to help with social distancing.
  • We will not sing together in Student Ministry.
  • No snacks or drinks are allowed.
