713 Biblical Tour of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Brooklyn Museum
This is a one-day field trip to two of the many interesting places in Brooklyn—the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Brooklyn Museum.
In the morning, we will visit the Garden and enjoy the beautiful trees and plants in full bloom, and discuss specific trees and plants in the Bible that are in the Garden, and how they relate to the agriculture in the land of Israel and weather cycle in the Bible.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Brooklyn Museum of Art and view the Biblically-related objects that are in the Egyptian and Assyrian galleries.
May 9; 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Please register by Friday, May 1.
Those attending this tour should meet at the front entrance of the Eastern Parkway Gate of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden by 9:30 a.m. Take the 2 or 3 subway from Manhattan, get off at the Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum station. As you exit the train, head down the platform in the direction the train is going (if the train has come from Manhattan) and go through the turnstiles and make a right. Come up to the street level. The Brooklyn Museum will be in front of you. We will meet in the area of the benches.
