388 What God Says about the Poor and the Immigrant
One of the most vigorous debates in contemporary American culture is how to address the needs of the poor and the immigrant in our society. Often, political rhetoric and affiliation takes precedence over Biblical truths. What does God say about the poor? What responsibilities do they have to society? How does the larger culture address the needs of those who are foreigners to the Christian’s native land? This course will look at the many texts which express God’s ideas and concerns regarding the poor and the immigrant to create the proper lens through which Christians can understand and apply God’s truth in their church, in their community, and in their government.
