Paul's Letters to the Thessalonians

178 Paul's Letters to the Thessalonians

The Thessalonian epistles were written to a newly established church in Macedonia.  The Apostle Paul wanted to firmly establish this church in the doctrinal truths that he already had taught them, to encourage them in personal holiness, to comfort them regarding those believers who had already died, and to instruct them more fully in the doctrinal truth of the Second Coming of Christ.  This class will also examine the historical geography of Macedonia and the archaeology of the city of Thessalonia in order to see their bearing on the theology Paul conveyed to the church.

Qualifies for the Bible Certificate Program.
