139A Psalms, Part 1
This course is an introduction to the 150 Psalms in the Bible. A portion of this course will be spent learning about the genre of psalms, how it differs from other portions of the Bible, how to interpret this style of Scripture, and the different types of psalms. The balance of the course will be studying the seven psalms that connect historically with 1 Samuel. It is advisable that the student have completed How to Study the Bible I and II. The book How to Read the Psalms by Tremper Longman III is a required text for this course.
